A few details
To design a load carrying structure such as this drum pulley assembly, we should make sure the structure can handle the load safely. Moreover, we can optimise the structural configuration to reduce the unused beam, hence reducing the overall cost without sacrificing its strength. This task can easily be done using Finite Element Analysis (FEA); in this example we use Code_Aster FEA, an open-source free software inside the SALOME-MECA environment.
How we solved it
In this study, we use code_aster Finite Element Analysis code inside SALOME_MECA environment.
