A few details
Designing the mass produced part such as this brake handle must be analysed comprehensively before manufactured, from its strength while it is used or the material usage which is directly affected the production cost. In this simulation, brake handle was simulated using Finite Element Analysis code_aster to find its maximum stress value and location, and determine which locations are not bearing the load to reduce the material usage.
How we solved it
In this study, Finite Element Analysis (FEA) software code_aster inside the SALOME_MECA environment was used to simulate the structural integrity of a machine element.
